VALENTINES

Many people celebrate Valentine’s Day by showing appreciation for the people they love and adore. It’s also a time to appreciate friendship.  

At the Red Lion Hotel our chef has puts together a special three course menu each Valentines year. 
We will also have our normal menu available on the night.

Valentines Menu this year is served between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday, 14th February as well as Friday 15th February and Saturday 16th February.

£25.95 per person for three courses, £22.95 for two courses
(Glass of sparkly cocktail included with three course meal)

Starters

Pea & leek soup, parmesan croutons (v)
Smoked salmon roulade with curly endive salad, melba toast & balsamic glaze
Ham hock & parsley terrine, pea puree, piccalilli & toasted ciabatta
Grilled haloumi salad, avocado, mixed leaves & mustard dressing
Goats’ cheese & red onion jam tart, roasted root vegetables & fresh pesto (v)

Main Courses

Hand cut sirloin with jenga chips, confit onion & red wine jus
Confit duck leg, duchess potatoes, braised red cabbage
Chicken supreme with pearl barley & roasted vegetables
Pan roasted seared hake, mussel broth & new potatoes
Sweet potato gnocchi, roasted butternut squash, pea shoots & butternut squash veloute (v)

All main courses served with seasonal vegetables on the side

Desserts

Dark chocolate fondant accompanied with vanilla ice cream
Classic tiramisu
Strawberry cheesecake, coulis & sorbet
White chocolate panna cotta, chocolate soil, mini meringue & roasted hazelnut
Selection of cheeses, crackers, celery and homemade chutney
